Progress on GrassOps Software

The first milestone for GrassOps to be a usable platform is simply creating an account. Because GrassOps will be hyperlocal, relevant to real identities, and a place for sensitive information, it's important to me to have a secure and bot-resistent onboarding process right from the start. I'm implementing our initial account creation process as an invite-only process. I'm also implementing Authentication methods other than username and password immediately for more secure auth protocols.

This feature is what I'm currently working on in GrassOps. I'll consider this milestone met when the following things are true:

  • I can create invitations to join the platform
  • Individuals can create an account using an invitation
  • Individuals can utilize the following authentication flows:
    • Passkey authentication
    • Single Sign On with Google and other platforms
    • Multi-factor authentication
  • Users can login to the platform using their account information
  • Users can manage the authentication and information for their account

After the account creation process, the next step for implementing GrassOps will be creating the community hierarchy for my first community: SLC, UT - And allowing users to join the SLC community.
